Cabinet of Resistance

Description

Cabinet of Resistance is an installation by Sanathanan based on collective memories of his community. The artist is making the process of archiving in to art making. He transcends his personal memory, and starts collecting, documenting and archiving the memories of others, which together form a body of testimonials. These are the stories likely to be left out of the history books of the future. Each drawer contains catalogue cards with snippets of memories.
