Inspired by living in between two cultures Noha Ghany creates photography works that explore her hybrid identity-where she grew up as an Egyptian American constantly exploring collective ideas and stereotypes on cultural adaptation and representation.
She was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, raised in Columbus Ohio and received her BFA in Photography from the Ohio State University in 2009. In 2016 she moved and settled in Cairo Egypt, where she currently lives and works.
Her images are delicate, emotive and often times celebrate womanhood. The artist continues to develop her practice and is currently working on capturing Egyptian culture through modern Cairo with its ever- changing Western influences and ironies.
